Hiking and photography have been passions of mine for many years. I’ve tried to combine the two in a way that will let you get a sense of this incredible trail. Those of you seeking a detailed trail guide will be disappointed. This book does contain details concerning directions to the trailhead, distance between certain points of interest along the trail and my observations while hiking; however, the focus is on the photographs. I hope by following this trail of pictures you will see the beauty I found in one of the most rugged places in Idaho.
My friend Jim and I made this trip in mid August of 2008. Wildfires had been burning near the area creating a haze of smoke that we breathed through most of the hike.

This is a super guide for this rugged area. Just below Idaho's Seven Devils trail is the Snake River trail. One that I have personally hiked and highly recommend it. However, I haven't hiked the Seven Devils Trail yet and this guide will help me a lot.
